Look Back 2016: Refugee Crisis

More than one million refugees crossed into Europe in 2015, sparking a crisis as countries struggled to cope with the influx.

The number of refugees trying to reach Europe through Turkey and Greece dramatically went down in 2016.

But, with the ongoing war in Syria, conflicts and extreme poverty in many other countries, the problem is not going away.
