"Nobody is expelling any Palestinians," Trump claimed in response to a reporter's question as he hosted Irish leader Micheal Martin in the Oval Office. Refusal of Netanyahu arrest warrant by some European states 'not just hypocrisy' but continued 'racism': UN rapporteurSome European states see the International Criminal Court (ICC) as a tool against Africa, so some European countries refusing to enforce the ICC arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is "not just hypocrisy” but a continuation of “their racism," the UN special rapporteur on the right to food has said. In response to a question at a joint press briefing in Geneva, Michael Fakhri cited comments by ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan, saying: "There was an interview with prosecutor Khan from the ICC about … the pressure he received when he issued these arrest warrants, and what he said … is that many European political leaders were surprised because they said that the ICC was designed to go after African leaders." He said this goes beyond hypocrisy or a double standard, calling it straightforward "racism."
Germany urges Israel to comply with UN court’s rulingsA German Foreign Ministry spokeswoman has urged Israel to comply with International Court of Justice (ICJ) rulings, in response to a question during a news conference in Berlin. “Like many other countries, we expect the rulings of the International Court of Justice to be respected and the provision of humanitarian aid and electricity to be guaranteed,” said Kathrin Deschauer. The ICJ ruled last year that Israel is required to provide Gaza with basic needs under international law.
Israel's cut of Gaza electricity, food is 'war crime': HamasThe Palestinian resistance group Hamas has decried Israel's continued cut of electricity and food supplies to Gaza as a "war crime." "Israel’s ongoing power cuts to Gaza, lasting over 16 months, and the recent severing of the limited electricity line powering the Deir al Balah desalination plant constitute a war crime that risks a thirst catastrophe," Hamas said in a statement. Hamas said Israel's use of water and food as tools of war against civilians "is part of a systematic effort to worsen Gaza's humanitarian disaster."
