One Palestinian was killed and nine others, including a mother and her two children, were injured in fresh Israeli attacks across Gaza amid continued violations of a ceasefire in effect since last October, medical sources said.
The sources said a Palestinian man was killed and four people, including a mother and her two children, were injured in an Israeli strike in Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
A Palestinian woman was also shot in the head when Israeli naval forces opened fire toward the coast of the Al-Sudaniya area in northwestern Gaza, according to the sources.
A 6-year-old child was also shot in the chest by Israeli forces while in the Al-Atatra area in northwestern Gaza.
The sources said two other Palestinians were wounded in an Israeli drone strike targeting pedestrians north of the Hamad area northwest of Khan Younis.
A Palestinian woman was injured by gunfire from an Israeli drone in the Al-Shamaa area of the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood east of Gaza City, the sources said.
Israeli forces killed one Palestinian and injured two others in the occupied West Bank, Palestinian authorities said, while the military said troops fired at a car that had hit an army vehicle.
The military said a "vehicle carrying three suspects... accelerated toward an IDF vehicle and hit it" in the area of Bani Naim, north of the city of Hebron.
In a statement, it said no injuries were reported among Israeli forces and that soldiers "responded by firing toward the vehicle, and hits were identified."
The Palestinian General Authority for Civil Affairs said "Israeli forces opened fire on a civilian vehicle" at the entrance to Bani Naim, without giving details on whether those inside had been attempting to ram soldiers.
A tanker turned back after being threatened by Iranian forces in the Strait of Hormuz, a British maritime agency reported.
"A tanker transiting the Strait of Hormuz inbound was hailed by the IRGC and instructed to turn back, or the vessel would be targeted," the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations Centre (UKMTO) said, referring to Iran's Revolutionary Guard.
"The master of the tanker has confirmed that they have complied with the instruction," the UKMTO said.
The ship was entering the strait near the Omani coastline, the agency added.
Iraqi Airways said it will resume direct flights to Iran on Thursday, with daily services from Najaf International Airport to three Iranian cities.
The Iraqi national carrier said in a statement that its flight schedule, beginning October 8, will include Tehran, Mashhad and Isfahan.
It said the move aims to facilitate passenger travel and provide regular air transport between Iraq and the Iranian cities.
On September 29, Iraq’s transport ministry announced that Iraqi Airways had secured a special exemption allowing it to operate flights to Iran, paving the way for their resumption in October after regulatory and technical requirements were completed.
Doctors Without Borders (MSF) said that Israel was continuing its genocide in Gaza and was "progressively asphyxiating" the region, urging governments to take immediate action.
In a statement, MSF said the conditions for the people's survival were being "systematically destroyed" through sustained violence, "deliberate" blockade of essential supplies and the destruction of healthcare as well as infrastructure.
"In the past year, the physical trapping of people in Gaza has been made increasingly definitive by the establishment of Israel’s Yellow Line," the French medical charity said.
Recalling that it was originally presented as temporary, MSF noted that the line is now reinforced by military positions, berms and ongoing demolitions while it has continued to move west, "squeezing people into a smaller and smaller area."
Israel is preparing for possible new military action against Iran, either in coordination with the US or independently, Israeli media reported.
The Israel Hayom newspaper said the Israeli army is preparing for a potential attack against Iran while maintaining close intelligence and operational cooperation with the US military.
The report said Israel is also getting ready for possible preemptive action or a response to an Iranian attack, although it assessed the likelihood of an Israeli or US attack before the US midterm elections in November as relatively low.
Israel continues to view Iran’s nuclear programme as a major concern, the newspaper added.
Separately, Israeli news website Walla reported Sunday that the US is preparing to send additional forces and aircraft to Israel in the coming weeks amid preparations for a possible escalation in the Middle East.
Citing unnamed security sources, Walla said around 3,000 US military personnel are currently deployed across Israel, including troops operating air defence systems as well as pilots, support crews and logistics personnel.
US Vice President Vance publicly criticised Israel on several occasions over opposition to Trump's interim deal with Iran and for attacks in Lebanon.

Egypt has condemned continued Israeli incursions into Syria and called for Israel to withdraw from occupied Syrian territory.
In a statement, the foreign ministry strongly condemned continued Israeli violations of Syrian sovereignty, including the resumption of excavation and military construction work in the Quneitra countryside and incursions into other areas of southern Syria.
The ministry rejected Israeli moves and measures that aim at “imposing a new reality on the ground” in Syria.
It said the Israeli actions constitute “a flagrant violation of Syria’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, international law and the 1974 disengagement agreement.”
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) ordered a tanker transiting the Strait of Hormuz to turn back, or it would be targeted, according to the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) agency.
In an advisory, UKMTO said the incident occurred 20 kilometres north of Khasab, Oman, on Sunday.
The tanker was transiting the Strait of Hormuz inbound when it was hailed by the IRGC and instructed to turn back or face being targeted, UKMTO said.
The vessel’s master confirmed that the tanker complied with the instruction.
UKMTO said authorities were investigating the incident and advised vessels transiting the area to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity.
