Two Palestinians were injured in northern Gaza after rain caused a wall in a building damaged by earlier Israeli shelling to collapse, a medical source said.

Eyewitnesses said heavy rain flooded thousands of displacement tents near Gaza City’s port, west of Deir al-Balah, north of the Nuseirat refugee camp, and in Jabalia and Beit Lahia.

"Air defences intercepted and destroyed a cruise missile launched by the terrorist Houthi militia toward the Riyadh region," coalition spokesperson Maj. Gen. Turki al-Maliki said on X.

Axios cites sources saying Vance has been speaking with mediators, including Qatar and Pakistan, for the last two weeks to reach a deal, adding that envoys Witkoff and Jared Kushner were involved.

Iran's military is "stronger" and more motivated than it was when the US and Israel started the war in February, Iranian state media reported, citing an army spokesperson.

"Today, the Islamic Republic's armed forces... having gained experience from direct confrontation with the United States and the Israeli regime, are on higher alert and are stronger than they were at the beginning of the war. They now possess greater motivation, commitment, and self-confidence," Mohammad Akraminia said, according to the state news agency IRNA.

US President Donald Trump has suggested that Washington "could be an occupier" in Iran, adding it controls the Strait of Hormuz and is extracting record amounts of oil from the strategic waterway.

Speaking to reporters after a speech at a NASA facility in the state of Florida, Trump compared the US war with Iran with the Russia-Ukraine conflict, which he said killed 25,000 in October.

He argued that the war with Iran, now in its ninth month, could not be called a war because "nobody's even wounded" in several months.

"All we are is maybe an occupier. (We) could be an occupier," he added.

Trump also said the US controls the Strait of Hormuz, a critical passage for global energy supplies. "We control the Hormuz Strait," he added. "We're taking out more oil now than we have at any time in the history of the Hormuz Strait."

The United States is offering a $20 million reward "and possible relocation" for information about Iran's nuclear programme, the military said.

A State Department programme, Rewards for Justice, "is offering a reward of up to $20 million and possible relocation for information about Iran's nuclear programme, including its facilities, equipment, and associated personnel, such as those in the scientific community," US Central Command said in a statement posted on X.

The Iranian army has said that its air defence force shot down a US MQ-9 drone above Qeshm Island.

The army's public relations office said the drone was targeted and destroyed by "advanced systems" operating within the integrated air defence network, Tasnim news agency reported.

The US State Department urged Americans in the Middle East to exercise heightened vigilance, citing an increased threat of armed attacks by Yemen's Houthi militia.

"Americans currently in the Middle East should exercise heightened vigilance due to the increased threat of armed attacks by Iranian-supported Houthis and Iranian efforts to target US government officials in the region," it said in an advisory on X.

The agency also told Americans to be aware of potential flight cancellations, airspace closures and travel disruptions in the region.

Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency said initial reports indicated that two missiles had struck Qeshm Island, adding that there was no official information on possible damage.

Tasnim said it would release further details once relevant authorities confirmed the incident.

The state news agency IRNA had earlier reported that local witnesses said two projectiles had attacked the Suza area of Qeshm Island in southern Iran after the sound of an aircraft was heard over the island.

Iran has warned that the US could launch another military attack against the country despite the reported withdrawal of American naval vessels from the region, the ISNA news agency reported.

Army spokesman Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia said renewed US military action could not be ruled out, suggesting Washington might resort to another attack because of its political difficulties.

He warned that any renewed US attack would face a decisive response from Iran's armed forces.

Citing instructions from the supreme leader, Akraminia said the military's response to any attack must be immediate, effective and without geographical restrictions.
