Occupied East Jerusalem residents oppose bill against call to prayer

People living in Issawiya have literally built their opposition to an Israeli bill that aims to muffle the Muslim call to prayer in occupied East Jerusalem.

Arab legislators, in March, had denounced Israel's measure to muffle mosques' amplified calls to prayer in Israel and occupied East Jerusalem as racist.

People living in occupied East Jerusalem are contesting a bill to impose limitations on the Muslim call to prayer.

The legislation is currently making its way through Israel's parliament after winning preliminary approval in March. Arab legislators have denounced the measure as racist.

But the people living in Issawiya have literally built their opposition to the bill.
