Iran’s state TV reports the country has unveiled two new missiles, as the US heads to the UN to trigger snapback sanctions after the Security Council rejected Washington's bid to extend Tehran's arms embargo.
"We're receiving some encouraging intelligence that Iran is sending messages to those very same militias not to move against American targets or civilians, and we hope that that message continues to echo," says US Vice President Mike Pence.
Secretary of Iran's National Security Council says Tehran will keep working to improve its missiles' accuracy.
