The Turkish parliament has approved part of an anti-terror bill that was proposed by the AK Party after lifting the state of emergency in the country.
The dismissals came through a decree under the state of emergency, according to the official gazette, even as 148 employees who had been earlier dismissed from public institutions were reinstated.
The arrest warrants were issued after an investigation including several testimonies led authorities to believe the suspects are linked to the alleged orchestrator of the July 2016 coup attempt Fetullah Gulen.

Germany’s Spiegel magazine reports that the German Foreign Ministry turned down a request sent by Turkey in June to freeze Fetullah Gulen's assets in the country. Gulen is accused of orchestrating a failed coup attempt in Turkey last year.
