Resignation comes a week after Nikos Androulakis, the leader of Greece's Socialist opposition party, filed a complaint with the supreme court over "attempted" spying on his mobile phone.
The allegation was reported by Greek media last year but a hearing only took place after leader of the country's socialist opposition submitted a complaint to prosecutors in late July.
Muhammed Amar Ampara, involved in espionage activities in Türkiye, was gathering information about the Turkish military and transferring it to the Greek Intelligence.
