One of the most popular Hindu festivals, Holi, was celebrated across India despite coronavirus measures imposed by the government.
The main festival is on Friday this year but celebrations begin a week early in the town of Vrindavan, India - the birthplace of god Krishna.
The annual Hindu festival ushers in a new season. A symbol of good triumphing over evil, Holi unites people — the young, the old, the devotees and the agnostic — with colour, mild narcotics, and of course food.
