Thousands of anti-government protesters in Thailand donned sports gear in the pre-dawn darkness for the biggest political protest in the country in years.
At least four others were injured in the roadside explosion, suspected to be the work of insurgents, in the southern province of Pattani.
No claim of responsibility has yet been made for the attack on the hospital, which treats members of the military as well as civilians.
