There have been 22 postponements in the Premier League under the Covid criteria since the Omicron variant led to a surge in cases among players and staff in December.
Clubs were told at a meeting that no postponements would be permitted if 13 outfield players and one goalkeeper from their 25-man squad list were available, according to the Daily Mail.
Several managers have suggested a pause would take the pressure off clubs, but the Premier League says it has no plans to do so.
