Hundreds of families separated at the US-Mexico border in limbo as US officials struggle to meet a court-set deadline for family reunification that expired on Thursday.
Ordered by a judge to reunite all children under the age of five with their families by July 10, US authorities say they will not be able to comply with the deadline due to an assortment of reasons.
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un had promised to sync his country's time zone with the South's during his April 27 talks with South Korean President Moon Jae-in. The North described the move as "the first practical step" to "become one".
The talks, being hosted by the United Nations in Cyprus, follow decades of failure to reach an agreement over the reunification of the ethnically-divided eastern Mediterranean island.
Espen Barth Eide said many issues dividing the two sides had been resolved as the talks on reunification of the Mediterranean island entered the third day.
