The Selcuk Camel wrestling festival dates back over 2,400 years and originated among the nomadic Turkic Tribes. Today, this camel wrestling league holds over 30 events across the country from November to March.
Turkish town of Selcuk is also one of the most visited tourist destinations in Turkey, due to its close proximity to the ancient city of Ephesus, and House of the Virgin Mary.
