Bosnian capital Sarajevo pays subdued tribute to resilience of its citizens who survived the longest military siege in modern history and commemorates thousands of others who did not.
Twenty-six years after they were brutally murdered, 16 men, two teenage boys, and a woman are laid to rest at Potocari memorial in Srebrenica, joining more than 6,600 other genocide victims already reburied there.
The July 11, 1995 execution of more than 8,000 Muslim men and boys is the only declared genocide in Europe since World War II.
