US President Donald Trump's financial disclosure lists reimbursement to his former attorney Michael Cohen, who paid hush money to porn star Stormy Daniels, shedding new light on a scandal involving an alleged sexual encounter between her and Trump.
US President Donald Trump wrote on his Twitter account that he reimbursed his personal lawyer Michael Cohen a $130,000 payment to adult movie star Stephanie Clifford, also known as Stormy Daniels.
Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York, said President Trump knew about the $130,000 payment his lawyer Michael Cohen paid porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016 to keep quiet about an affair she alleges they had in 2006.
At issue is a tweet by Trump in which he dismissed a composite sketch that Daniels says depicted a man who threatened her in 2011 to stay quiet about her alleged relationship with Trump.
US President Donald Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen appeared in court on Monday to limit FBI access to his documents – but a judge rejected his claim of attorney-client privilege.
White House denies US president's affair with Stormy Daniels, although Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen says he paid her $130,000 of his own money during the 2016 presidential election campaign.
"This case has already been won in arbitration," says White House, a day after adult-film actress Stormy Daniels sued US President Donald Trump for the right to speak about the "intimate relationship" she claims they had.
The actress first detailed her account of an alleged extramarital affair with Trump in 2011, when the celebrity website The Dirty published it but then removed the material under threat of a lawsuit
Just weeks before the 2016 election, Michael Cohen reportedly created a private LLC to pay Stephanie Clifford, following an alleged July 2006 encounter with Trump.
