Syria regime shelling killed five Turkish soldiers in flashpoint Idlib province prompting Ankara's response in which 76 regime soldiers were eliminated, according to Turkey's defence minister.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported "around 3,000 people" returned to the northern Hama and the southern Idlib countryside from other areas under regime control.
While foreign aid organisations cut funding to the health and development sector in most of Idlib province, regime forces have intensified airstrikes, threatening the lives of civilians.
Idlib's civil defence, a rescue service in opposition-controlled territory known as the White Helmets, says air strikes over the past 24 hours have hit several villages in the northwestern province.
