Minibus carrying labourers from a garment factory collides with a truck on a highway in the northern city leading to casualties, health officials said.
Though the sight of dead kangaroos by the roadside is not uncommon in New South Wales state -where about 90 percent of car crashes are caused by collisions with the animals - the scale and allegedly intentional nature of the incident shocked locals.
Initial investigations show a speeding car caused the collision.
"Fourteen deaths were reported at the scene of the accident, 33 injured were transferred to the hospital in Villa del Rosario, where four of them died," police said after a crash in Zulia state which borders Colombia.
The truck struck a group of people who had gone onto the road to inspect another person who had been earlier hit by a car, Cecilio Chacaj, a spokesman for the local fire department says.
