The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees has been knocking on doors seeking funds after losing a major chunk of US funding. Children in Palestine will bear the brunt of the gap left by the US.
The push to raise money comes after the United States slashed its contribution earlier this year, leaving a 200-million-dollar shortfall.
US President Trump threatened to cut aid to Palestinians, including UNRWA, in response to fury over Jerusalem. The US is the largest donor to UNRWA and ending its aid could have a particularly damaging effect in Gaza.
