TRT World channel has partnered with Open News to provide content especially in the news and current-affairs category. Open News will be launched on Thursday, 1 November,2018 to boost South Africa’s first free-to-air satellite TV service, Openview which recently surpassed the 1.3 million decoder activation mark.

TRT World, an international news platform launched in 2015 and headquartered in Istanbul, offers an alternative viewpoint on global and domestic events, challenging perceived narratives and providing a much needed new perspective on news.
