TRT World expands global reach with Macau Cable TV

TRT World is expanding its global distribution with Macau’s only cable TV service provider, Macau Cable TV

TRT World, Turkey’s leading international English-language news channel operated by Turkish Radio and Television Corporation is expanding its global distribution with Macau’s only cable TV service provider, Macau Cable TV (MCTV) which offers nearly 100 different channels from China, Asia and all around the globe. TRT World will be available from 15 November on majority of households and hotels in Macau.

TRT World, launched in 2015 and headquartered in Istanbul with four newsrooms located around the world, offers an alternative viewpoint on global and domestic events, challenging perceived narratives and providing a much needed new perspective on news. The channel belongs to the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation, Turkey’s national public broadcaster.

Macau Cable TV (MCTV), founded in 2007, is the only cable TV service provider in Macau. By transferring and receiving the High Definition TV signals, MCTV provides high quality and multiple cable TV services which contain more than 100 TV channels across the world. Along with the professional team and cutting-edge system, the optical network of MCTV covers different districts throughout Macau. At present, MCTV network has covered the entire Macau, and is serving about 200k households and 35,000 hotel rooms with its extensive channel list that contains Asian, local, sports, movie, educational, documentary, cartoon, drama, and music channels.
