Erol Olcok and his 16-year-old son, Abdullah Tayyip Olcok were killed during the failed military coup in Turkey. A prominent advertiser and a close friend of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Erol left home to join anti-coup demonstrations. The father of 3 told his family members to stay indoors. But Abdullah said “Wherever you go, I come with you”
The 2 were on the front line at Istanbul’s Bosphorus Bridge. But they ended up getting shot by coup attempters. Erol was a campaigner for Turkey’s governing AK Party. He once made an ad for the party
called “The People Won’t Bend Down, Turkey Won’t Be Divided”
