Democratic National Committee breach
The US Democratic National Committee says its computer network was infiltrated. There were two breaches - one had been ongoing for a year, and one was in April. Hackers seemed to be interested in only one thing: Trump. The DNC hired Cybersecurity firm Crowdstrike to investigate suspicious activity in May. “Within 24 hours, we were able to ascertain with our software deployed on all their machines there was in fact two breaches from two separate Russian intelligence services that were inside that network.”. Russia denies any wrongdoing. Who might want more dirt on Trump? Security expert Adam Levin has a few ideas. "Well they could be state sponsored hackers. They could be for-profit hackers. The one thing about Donald Trump is that he has prided himself on the fact that he is unpredictable. So that means the more information you can get about him, with people who are digging deep, perhaps the more predictable he can become to someone who is trying to sit across the table from him. It could even be a cause- hack, someone who's just very offended by what he says.
