Turkey to increase scholarships for Rohingya students

The increased number of scholarships have ignited hopes of students like Yaseen Abdulrahman, a Rohingya refugee, to help improve not only his own life, but also of others who have suffered from discrimination and persecution in Myanmar.

Yaseen Abdulrahman is a Rohingya student who is presently learning Turkish language. Soon he will start a Masters Degree in Information Technology.

Turkish Authorities are pledging 53 more scholarships for Rohingya students to study at universities in the country.

More than 600,000 of them have fled Myanmar in recent months to escape violence and a military crackdown.
