As the US-Israel war on Iran drags on, it is having increasingly far-reaching  consequences— rattling global energy markets, disrupting supply chains, and raising urgent questions about Washington’s endgame.

On this episode of Bigger Than Five, former US State Department official Allen Eyre delivers a stark indictment, calling the war “unnecessary, illegal and immoral”. He also warns that US actions are “not leading to any strategic objective”. He argues that while Iran may lack military superiority, it is fighting an existential battle and is therefore “willing to accept far more pain”.

But Republican Congressman Marlin Stutzman defends the war, insisting “Iran has been a threat to the West for 40 years”, adding that Donald Trump’s actions will ultimately bring “stability and security” to the Middle East and beyond.
