One person killed and 300 injured in Taiwan
One person has died and more than 300 have been injured after a tropical cyclone battered Taiwan. Typhoon Koinu produced the strongest winds ever recorded in Taiwan as it slammed into the island's southern tip on Thursday. Koinu is the second typhoon to make landfall in Taiwan in as many months as Claire Herriot reports.
