South Korean stocks close out best session since March 2020
A sea of green across Asian markets on Monday as a soft US jobs report reinforced bets that the Federal Reserve is done hiking rates. South Korean stocks led gains after the country re-imposed a ban on short-selling. That's when a trader sells borrowed shares to buy back at a lower price. The KOSPI jumped 5.6 percent while the Kosdaq soared more than 7 percent. both closing out their best session since March 2020.
