Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao faces potential prison time
Binance users have pulled more than $1B from the world's largest crypto exchange in the past 24 hours. That's after Chanpengh Zhao, founder and CEO, pleaded guilty. He was charged with violating the Bank Secrecy Act by failing to implement an effective anti-money-laundering program and for willfully violating US economic sanctions. The exchange's native token, BNB, is down more than 8%. And, the Securities and Exchange Commission has sued another crypto exchange, Kraken, this week, alleging it operated as an unregistered broker.
