COP28 ends with deal on transition away from fossil fuels
A deal has been reached at the global climate conference in Dubai. Following all the summits and meetings, a new text was released early in the morning on its final day, and it was approved just a few hours later. The agreement calls for transitioning away from all fossil fuels, including coal, oil, and gas. Several observers describe that wording as historic, while some criticize it.
