Germany's ruling Christian Democrat Union party has elected its first new leader in eighteen years. Annegret Kramp Karrenbauer will take over from her ally Angela Merkel after winning a close vote among party members. The result is considered a win for Merkel. She stepped down as party leader six weeks ago, but she will stay on as Germany's chancellor until 2021. Ira Spitzer has more from Hamburg. #CDU #germany #Merkel
