Hardline judge Ebrahim Raisi elected president in landslide

A landslide election victory ushered in a new Iranian president- but not a changing of the guard. The former head of the judiciary, #EbrahimRaisi won 62 percent of the vote and was the strong favourite before a ballot had even been cast - most of his main rivals had been disqualified from running.
