Kiev asks remaining Ukrainian soldiers in Mariupol to surrender

The remaining Ukrainian soldiers at the Mariupol steelworks have been told by their government to surrender. If they comply, the move will end the last Ukrainian resistance in the southeastern port city, and would allow Russia to re-deploy troops elsewhere in the east, where the fighting has intensified.
