
Kuwait's Emir Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah has met the Saudi King Salman in a bid to mediate an end to the diplomatic standoff over Qatar. The two leaders met in Jeddah - the outcome of the talks remains unknown. The meeting follows Jordan DOWNGRADE and Mauritania's announcement to cut ties with Doha. The latest inclusion bring the total number of countries to eight - who've joined the economic and diplomatic boycot of Qatar. Four Gulf states - along with Yemen and Maldives - have already moved to isolate Doha which it accuses of supporting terrorism, an accusation Qatar denies. Christine Pirovolakis has more.
