
The most senior Serbian political figure to face justice for war crimes in the former Republic of Yugoslavia, Radovan Karadzic has been found guilty of genocide by UN judges in the Hague. The 70 year old, who maintained his innocence throughout the trial, faced 11 separate charges, including extermination, crimes against humanity and two counts of genocide.
