Sales in bottled water are expected to reach $280 billion dollars by 2020. Increased demand is attributed to rising concerns about the purity of tap water but often there is very little difference. Across the globe, people drink roughly 10% more bottled water every year and companies are making billions but only paying a few dollars for the privilege. Are they sucking this valuable resource dry? Joining us at the Roundtable is Philippe Cullet, who specialises in international and environmental law and is from SOAS University; Asad Rehman is the Executive Director at War On Want, a charity fighting the root causes of poverty; Jonathan Wilson is a branding consultant; and Richard Wellings is from the Institute of Economic Affairs. Roundtable is a discussion programme with an edge. Broadcast out of London and presented by David Foster, it's about bringing people to the table, listening to every opinion, and analysing every point of view. From fierce debate to reflective thinking, Roundtable discussions offer a different perspective on the issues that matter to you. Watch it every weekday at 15:30 GMT on TRT World.
