Over the past two weeks Hong Kong's streets have been filled with protesters. They wanted the government to ditch a proposed law that could send criminal suspects to mainland China. And it looked like people power prevailed when Hong Kong's Chief Executive conceded. But Carrie Lam only suspended the bill. Protesters set a deadline for her to scrap it outright but it was ignored.
