Are Western Sanctions Crippling Zimbabwe?

Zimbabwe suffers from hyperinflation and President Emmerson Mnangagwa says sanctions imposed by the US and European Union during Mugabe’s reign for alleged human rights and electoral fraud is ‘inhibiting our economic progress and punishing the most vulnerable.’ But, are sanctions the cause of the country’s economic collapse?
