Macedonian referendum failed to secure required turnout

Only 36 percent of 1.8 million Macedonian voters went to the polls in a historic referendum to rename the country ‘Republic of North Macedonia.’ 91 percent voted in favour of the change, but the referendum failed to secure the 50 percent turnout required according to the preliminary results. #Macedonia #Greece #referendum
