The Austrian government has sparked anger in Italy by announcing plans to offer dual citizenship to German speaking Italian's living in the South Tyrol province . 

The semi autonomous region was a part of Austria until the end of World War One. 

While some in the province have welcomed the plan, others have labelled it a land grab.
