Israeli forces have arrested at least 30 Palestinians, including a journalist, and injured two others during raids across the occupied West Bank, while illegal Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian homes and set fire to agricultural land near Ramallah.
The Palestinian Prisoners Media Office said on Thursday that Israeli forces arrested at least 23 young men from Hajja village east of Qalqilya after raiding dozens of homes and subjecting residents to field interrogations.
In Ramallah, Israeli forces raided the home of journalist Alaa Al-Rimawi and arrested him before taking him to an undisclosed location, according to his family.
Rimawi’s arrest came less than a year after he was released on October 7 2025, following two years in administrative detention.
Rimawi worked as a correspondent for Al Jazeera Mubasher and managed the G Media network. He was also known for his presence on social media platforms.
Israel previously arrested Rimawi in April 2021 after raiding his home in Ramallah and placed him under administrative detention. He was released about six weeks later following a hunger strike.
In Jenin province, Israeli forces arrested two brothers in the town of Ya'bad after raiding their home, according to the Prisoners Media Office.
In Nablus province, forces arrested a Palestinian after raiding his home and assaulting him during an incursion into Kafr Qalil village, according to the statement.
Israeli forces also raided Qaryut village and arrested two brothers after searching their home for several hours. The forces also stole an unspecified amount of money from the home of the son of one of those arrested, the office said.
In Nablus’ Al-Ain refugee camp, Israeli forces continued their raid, turning homes into sites for field interrogations after forcing the residents to leave, according to the statement.
In Abu Dis in Jerusalem province, Israeli forces arrested a number of young men and subjected them to field interrogations inside the Abu Dis Club, which they took control of and damaged. The exact number of detainees was not immediately available.
The forces raided homes and arrested several Palestinians, including a girl and her father from the Al-Masimi family. The identities of the other detainees were not immediately known.
Two injured in raids
In Qalqilya province, a Palestinian man was shot with live ammunition, while another Palestinian with a disability suffered breathing difficulties after inhaling tear gas, the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said.
Separately, illegal Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian homes and set fire to agricultural land in the Al-Wad Al-Shami area of Burqa village east of Ramallah, with flames spreading towards residential areas, according to local sources.
Burqa and neighbouring villages have faced repeated attacks by illegal settlers and Israeli forces targeting Palestinians, their homes, property and crops, the sources said.
Israel has intensified its offensives in the occupied West Bank since the start of its genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023.
The Israeli raids have also targeted occupied East Jerusalem, with reports of killings, arrests, forced displacement, home demolitions and illegal settlement expansion.
