US Central Command (CENTCOM) has conducted an attack on Iranian radar and military sites in the city of Goruk and on Qeshm Island over the weekend.

In a post on X, CENTCOM said the US was responding to "aggressive Iranian actions" that included the shutdown of an MQ1 drone in international waters.

CENTCOM confirmed that no American service members were harmed during the operations, adding that it will continue to protect US assets and interests in response to unwarranted Iranian aggression during the ongoing ceasefire.

Kuwait intercepts missiles

Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army says its air defences are "currently confronting hostile missile and drone attacks".

If sounds of explosions are heard, they are the result of air defences intercepting the projectiles, the army added.

Following these events, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it targeted the American airbase "from which the US military aggression on Sirik Island was launched", according to a report by the Fars News Agency.

This declaration came shortly after Kuwait announced it was intercepting hostile attacks.

The Revolutionary Guard warned that "if the aggression is repeated, the response will be completely different".
