Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has confirmed that he met with senior leadership in the United Arab Emirates, where discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and addressing pressing regional issues.
"It was an extremely productive visit in terms of addressing relations between our countries and evaluating the problems facing our region," Fidan stated in a post on X.
Fidan said he travelled directly to the UAE after taking part in diplomatic meetings and official events on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Regional diplomacy
During his official mission to Abu Dhabi, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received Fidan.
The Turkish foreign minister also conducted bilateral discussions with UAE Vice President Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
"Türkiye will continue to strengthen regional solidarity and maintain its diplomatic contacts for the peace and prosperity of our region," Fidan added, underlining Ankara's sustained push to coordinate on regional stability and economic partnership.
