Illegal Israeli settlers continued to besiege three Palestinian homes in Qusra, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, for the 15th consecutive day on Sunday, while others uprooted olive trees and grapevines from Palestinian-owned land near Bethlehem, according to Palestinian news agency WAFA.
WAFA reported that illegal settlers, under the protection of Israeli forces, continued to surround three homes in the Ras al-Ain area of Qusra, while Israeli forces prevented residents from entering or leaving the area.
The three families are facing water shortages after illegal settlers prevented supplies from reaching their homes and blocked roads leading to the area. Electricity supplies had also previously been cut.
Israeli forces have turned one of the homes into a military outpost and damaged furniture and other belongings after throwing them from the windows, WAFA reported.
The families have been staying in the homes around the clock to protect their properties following repeated attempts by illegal settlers to enter and seize them over recent months.
Israeli forces subsequently closed roads leading to Ras al-Ain and declared the area a closed military zone.
Separately, illegal Israeli settlers uprooted olive trees and grapevines from Palestinian-owned land in Al-Maniya village, east of Bethlehem, on Sunday.
Al-Maniya village council head Ahmad Kawazbeh told WAFA that the trees belonged to the Shalaldeh family.
The incident comes amid repeated attacks by illegal settlers targeting Palestinian farmland, property and crops in Al-Maniya and other areas east of Bethlehem, according to WAFA.
