Ukrainian drones have struck an industrial facility and a warehouse belonging to Russian online retailer Ozon in the Samara region, the regional governor said on Saturday.

Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev said on Telegram that several people were wounded in the overnight strikes.

Fedorishchev did not identify the industrial facility. The Samara region is home to several oil refineries that have been repeatedly targeted by Ukraine.

Ozon said in a statement on Telegram that operations at its logistics centre in the town of Chapayevsk had been halted following the strike, which it said caused injuries.

Ozon facility targeted

The strike was the first reported attack on an Ozon facility, following weeks of strikes targeting its larger rival Wildberries.

Ukraine has described attacks on Russian economic infrastructure as part of a broader campaign against facilities supporting Moscow’s military operations.

Russia’s Defence Ministry said on Saturday that its forces had shot down 457 Ukrainian drones overnight.

The latest strikes come amid continued Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian regions and infrastructure as the conflict continues.

Russia and Ukraine have repeatedly targeted energy and industrial facilities far from the front lines during the conflict.
