A Turkish Air Force F-16 aircraft crashed during a training flight in the northwestern province of Yalova, with the pilot ejecting safely, the National Defence Ministry said

"One of our Air Force F-16 aircraft crashed in Yalova during a training flight, and our pilot ejected safely,” the ministry said on Turkish social media platform NSosyal
on Wednesday.

“The cause of the crash will be determined following a detailed investigation," it added.

The F-16, which had taken off from the country’s northwestern province of Eskisehir for a training flight, crashed at 1200 GMT in the external compound of the 18th Main Air Base Command, according to Turkish news agency DHA.
