Erdogan highlights historic ties
Speaking at an official dinner held in his honour, Erdogan highlighted the close historical ties between the two nations.
Recalling a Korean proverb, he said: “They say that even if the hems of your clothes lightly touch, it is fate.”
He referred to the Korean War, saying the two nations had become “brothers in arms” 76 years ago while defending South Korea's independence.
Erdogan said Türkiye and South Korea should build on their shared history to create new opportunities for prosperity and contribute to peace around the world.
