The deaths linked to measles and measles-like symptoms rose to 1,030 in Bangladesh as eight more children died on Monday, authorities said.
Four of the new fatalities were from the capital Dhaka, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) under the Health Ministry.
A total of 482 deaths were recorded in the Dhaka division alone.
Meanwhile, the tally of symptomatic cases reached 172,720 and confirmed cases stood at 20,124.
The densely populated South Asian country of 175 million people has been struggling to contain the outbreak amid low vaccination coverage, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
Bangladesh historically had herd immunity against measles but has lost it in recent years due to declining vaccination coverage, it said.
Since April, the Health Ministry has immunised nearly 19.48 million children through a special programme in addition to routine vaccinations.
