Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said on Tuesday that the country’s armed forces are more prepared than ever and would deploy “different” types of weapons if war with the United States and Israel resumes.
Speaking to the semi-official Tasnim news agency, IRGC spokesperson Sardar Mohebbi said Tehran is ready for “all possible scenarios” and argued that recent fighting demonstrated Iran’s military resilience.
“The readiness of our armed forces today is more than in the past,” he said, claiming that despite deploying extensive military capabilities, the United States failed to wrest control of the Strait of Hormuz from Iran.
Mohebbi said Washington was unable to remove the strategic waterway from Iranian control “even for a few minutes,” describing that outcome as evidence that the US did not achieve its objectives during the confrontation.

Ceasefire holds, but tensions remain high
The comments come as a fragile ceasefire remains in place following months of hostilities that began after US and Israeli strikes on Iran in February.
Tehran responded with attacks on Israel and US allies in the Gulf, while also shutting down the Strait of Hormuz, a vital route for global energy shipments.
Although a ceasefire took effect on April 8 through Pakistani mediation, negotiations have yet to produce a permanent settlement, leaving tensions simmering across the region.
Iranian officials have repeatedly signaled that the country remains on high alert, even as diplomatic efforts continue.
