Türkiye, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt have issued a joint statement condemning the ongoing hostile attacks by the Houthi militia against Saudi Arabia, including a deadly strike on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh.
The statement, issued by the four countries under the banner of the “R4 Group" on Sunday, said the attacks resulted in civilian deaths and injuries, as well as damage to civilian infrastructure and facilities, and that this constitutes a blatant violation of international law.
The group said the attacks amount to “a flagrant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, posing a direct threat to its security, stability, and the safety of civilians,” describing them as “a dangerous escalation that cannot be justified or accepted under any pretext.”
The four countries reaffirmed their solidarity with Saudi Arabia, voicing full support for “all legitimate measures and steps it takes to counter these attacks, deter the sources of their threats, and prevent their recurrence,” in line with the UN Charter and international law.
The statement said the Houthi militia would be held “fully accountable” for the consequences of the attacks and any repercussions threatening regional and international peace and security.
The R4 group demanded “the immediate and unconditional halt” of the attacks.
