A fire broke out at a Wildberries logistics centre in Russia's Yekaterinburg on Friday after debris from a Ukrainian drone attack struck the facility, regional authorities said.

Sverdlovsk Regional Governor Denis Pasler said Russian air defences intercepted eight drones over the region, with three crashing onto the roof of the warehouse.

"People have been evacuated; there are no injuries," Pasler said on Telegram.

Wildberries, Russia's largest online retailer, said firefighters were battling the blaze and that operations at the site had been suspended, with deliveries rerouted to other logistics centres.

Russia and Ukraine exchange drone strike claims

Russia's defence ministry said its forces shot down 203 Ukrainian drones across the country, annexed Crimea and the Black Sea overnight.

The ministry also claimed Russian forces struck Ukrainian naval vessels and three cargo ships allegedly transporting military supplies in the Black Sea.

Ukraine's Air Force, meanwhile, said Russia launched 147 drones overnight, adding that 114 were intercepted or suppressed across northern, southern and eastern regions.

Neither side's battlefield claims could be independently verified.

Kiev has intensified strikes on Wildberries logistics facilities since mid-July, accusing the retailer of supporting Russia's military supply chain.

Moscow and the company deny the allegation, insisting the warehouses are civilian facilities.
