Africa Matters: Militant attacks threaten Mozambique LNG Project
Petroleum company Total Energies hopes to resume construction work on the Mozambique LNG Project. The company says it has revived talks with lenders to secure finance for around $20B. But 124 organisations are calling on banks and creditors to withdraw their support, saying it could lead to more militant attacks and human rights abuses.
